Captain is a quiet colt, and most of the time you don't even know he's on the yard. He's incredibly calm for a young colt and tends to take everything in his stride which makes his come across as shockproof however there are certainly some things that spook him - we just aren't sure what those things are. He is a joy to work with, having good ground manners and being very willing to work. He seems to enjoy everything we ask of him, and gives his all in every circumstance. He has shown himself to be very intelligent, and learns quickly, which we hope will be useful to him on the track. In the pasture, he's a bit of a loner. He tends to be on the edge of the group watching the world go by with seemingly no care in the world and never causes trouble when it is time to come in.

Captain likes to load last due to not liking the stalls, breaking nicely and settling toward the back (or at the back) of the pack for the first section of the race. He is intelligent, and he watches the horses ahead of him as they run.
Dependant on the race he takes one of two tactics - either he will move up the pack toward the leaders as the race in ran, ensuring never to let the leaders get too far ahead, or he will stick at the back until the closing leg.
When asked for more, this colt has power to spare. He stretches out, building speed quickly, and fights to take the lead. He doesn't give up easily and learns from mistakes.
